Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children provides talented children as well as beginners ages 7-18 with the opportunity to engage in several art disciplines in visual arts, performing arts, and in other arts such as culinary, innovation, literature, nutrition and many other. All training courses are based on solid and academic curriculum and delivered by professional artists in their fields.
The visual arts department is one of the main pillars of Al Jalila Cultural Centre and a great stepping-stone that provides children with a great foundation where they can learn the basic principles of Painting and Drawing, Pottery and Sculpture, Printmaking and Fashion Design. Besides the technical training, children also learn how to prepare their artwork for display, how to talk about their work and most importantly they get the opportunity to be part of group exhibitions organized regularly in Al Jalila Gallery.
The Performing arts department in Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children is the heart, the beat and the life of the place. It is where children aspire to become musicians, singers, composers, actors and theatre directors. Courses and workshops are delivered by established musicians and theatre specialists.

The Media section communicates with official and privet media, to promote Al Jalila cultural center’s events and activities to the society, support kids’ media, and enhance the presence of talented children in the media platform, with an aim to present them to the society. The Media section also supports journalists in achieving their journalism mission, by providing them with professional information and articles about the center and its various activities.
The Painting and Drawing studio is a place where children and adults can express themselves with lines and spaces of colors to explore different drawing and painting techniques to develop their own artistic personality.
With fashion becoming a leading force in the UAE, Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children aims to strengthen the fashion industry by offering a space for designers to learn all the basic foundations of fashion design and textiles. Designers as young as 10 years old will have the opportunity to begin fine tuning the necessary skills to pursue this art form as a future career.
With Screen printing, you will gain knowledge in different techniques like, emphasis on paper stencil, filler and photo emulsion processes. You will be able to produce original handmade prints using different methods.
The Pottery and Sculpture studio is a creative space for artists of all ages to explore all the different pottery and sculpture techniques. The studio offers specialized courses in hand building, pottery on the wheel, sculpture, mold making and casting under the supervision of specialized artists with extensive experience in the field. The courses are designed for children, families and adults to provide the best experience possible in all aspects regarding time, atmosphere, research, and space.
We offer a supportive, friendly yet focused environment. Our interactive curriculum is designed to develop your child’s musical skills in addition to visual, auditory and kinesthetic brain functions from an early age. This is delivered through a mixture of individual, ensemble, and group lessons.
Theater is one of the main pillars in building culture, where it develops the spirit of community and teamwork within the ability to emulate and confront life situations with courage. During the past years, Al Jalila Theater has presented many specialized workshops for children in various theater techniques, like, acting, theater writing, and theater lighting. It helps to discover the true talents and create a world of innovation and creativity.
The studio houses high-end equipment which allows children to understand the role of mass media in our lives today. They will explore photography, digital media, and what T.V is like behind the scenes and experience being cameramen, T.V presenters and even producers

The Basic Life Skills Department at Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children is a well based platform for promoting and developing healthy lifestyles amongst children. The Basic Life Skills department offers many courses and workshops that help develop and increase awareness among different Community members from children and families to adults and caregivers. We believe that all community members should have a chance to learn the fundamentals of nutrition, health, sustainability and basic life skills!
Children will be introduced to a variety of exciting and rich literature in English and Arabic. It is a place of knowledge and fun where children will enjoy reading circles, information contests and several different activities.
Maria Montessori believed that intelligence and creativity develop in children through movement and exploration. In studio 456 we have created a safe environment to allow children limitless opportunities to freely explore a wide variety of materials, media and art techniques, in order to develop their fine motor skills and independence, feed their curiosity and ultimately enhance their creativity while discovering their own personal talents and asserting their individuality.
PearlFM is the first radio station in the Middle East devoted to children and parents, broadcasted in English. PearlFM believes in the importance of our children, their future and our community.
